2008

  • Audio Visual Innovations (AVI) and Signal Perfection Ltd. (SPL) merge to form AVI-SPL, becoming the US' largest AV dealer.

2007

  • SPL wins ARCHI-TECH magazine's AV Awards Contest for New York City Office of Emergency Management project.
  • AVI opens the Boston, MA; and Las Vegas, NV offices.
  • AVI expands its Creative Learning division, becomes the exclusive provider for VariQuestTM Visual Learning Tools for Alabama; Georgia; Maryland; Washington, D.C.; and Northern Virginia.
  • AVI selected by Systems Contractor News magazine as the "Top Systems Integrator" in North America for the second consecutive year.
  • Every SPL Sales and Integration office is awarded Certified Audiovisual Solutions Provider Status.
  • SPL Announces "Green AV" Initiative.

2006

  • SPL opens international office in Dubai, UAE. SPL also opens integration offices in Boston, MA; Phoenix, AZ; and Kansas City, KS.
  • SPL is placed 204 on VARBusiness magazine's list of the top 500 VAR's in the United States
  • AVI acquires Dallas, TX-based AVKM and in turn inherits the Battle Command Information System (BCIS), a patented AVKM product for government and military applications.
  • AVI begins combining ESG into the Systems Integration Group (SIG).
  • AVI opens Birmingham, AL office.
  • Grand Prize in ARCHI-TECH magazine's "Best AV Projects" contest is awarded to SPL for the Lake of Dreams project at Wynn Resort in Las Vegas, NV.
  • SPL wins ARCHI-TECH magazine's "Best AV Projects Award" for the CDC Headquarters project in Atlanta, GA.
  • SPL is elected as "2005 Integrator of the Year" by Christie Digital.
  • Systems Contractor News magazine selects AVI as the "Top Systems Integrator" in North America.

2005

  • AVI forms Logistic Innovations and acquires Electronics Specialists.
  • AVI offices open in Nashville, TN; Sacramento, CA; and Pittsburgh, PA.
  • SPL acquires Texel Corporation, a leader in the design and installation of infrastructure network cabling.
  • SPL wins ARCHI-TECH magazine's "Best AV Projects Award" for the Lelawi Theater at the National Museum of the American Indian.
  • SPL receives two awards in Presentations Magazine's Best Presentation Rooms Contest
  • SPL's Managed Conferencing Services Team is recognized as "2004 Partner of the Year" by Capital One's Enterprise Services Group.
  • SPL enhances its Managed Conferencing Services Program with the launch of a nationwide, 24/7 help desk.

2004

  • Chad Gillenwater, SPL's President and CEO, wins Ernst & Young's Enterpenuer of the Year award for the Maryland Region.
  • SPL receives three awards in Presentation Magazine's Best Presentation Rooms Contest.
  • SPL wins ARCHI-TECH magazine's "Best AV Projects Award" for the AV project completed at the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College in New York.
  • SPL opens an office in Boston, MA.
  • AVI opens offices in Salt Lake City, UT; and Denver, CO.
